Malabar Erachi Curry
To serve 4 persons
| Ingredient | Quantity |

| Mutton | 1 kg |
| Onion medium | 2 nos |
| Chopped ginger | 2 inch piece |
| Garlic | 5 big cloves |
| Green chilli | 3 medium sized |
| Tomato medium | 3 nos |
| Melam Malabar Erachi Curry masala | 2 -3 tbsp |
| Oil | ½ cup |
| Grated Coconut | ¾ cup |
| Mustard | ½ tsp |
| Curry leaves | One sprig |
| Turmeric powder | 1 tsp |
| Chilli powder | ¾ tsp |
| Coconut milk | ½ cup |
| Salt | To taste. |
Cooking method:
- Grind ginger, garlic & green chilli.
- Heat a pan, add grated coconut. Once coconut becomes golden brown, add Melam Erachi Curry Masala.
- Stir for 30 seconds & switch off.
- Grind this mix into a thick paste.
- Heat oil & splutter mustard, curry leaves.
- Add onion, when it becomes golden brown add paste of ginger, garlic & chilli. Mix well.
- Add mutton & stir continuously for 10 min on high flame.
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt & tomato.
- Cook till the oil separates.
- Add 4 cups of water & boil.
- Cook till the mutton is done.
- Add masala paste.
- Cook till the gravy becomes thick and add coconut milk.
- Stir well and serve hot.
